3rd, 4th and 5th grade looked at the work of Wassily Kandinsky and created compositions using overlapping geometric shapes. They painted them with tempera cakes and used a third color in the shapes that were made by the overlapping. This project gave students opportunity for drawing, paint application and color theory. Great job Pride artists, your compositions would make Kandinsky proud! ART SMART words: geometric shape, overlap, composition and technique.
