This year students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades had the opportunity to apply for Art Club.  Other clubs available are Chorus, Athletics, Drama, and Whiz Kids Math.  In Art Club, students are creating printing plates that they will ink to make an image.  In order for an image to show in a print, the image area must be somehow raised away from the plate area.  For this project students are using glue to 'draw' the art.  When the glue dries it will create a raised edge that will grab when the plate is inked with paint.  Stay tuned to see the finished pieces!  Art Smart words: Relief Printing, Printing Plate, Texture
